The Serval (Leptailurus serval) is a medium-sized African wild cat. Their fur is gold with black spots and they have the largest ears of any cat. On their ears are distinctive white markings used to signal their kittens when hunting.They are extremely intelligent animals and have great problem-solving capabilities. Males are more aggressive with their food than females are with their offspring.
• The name serval is derived from a Portuguese word which means wolf-deer.
• 1-3 kittens are born per litter.
